Contributing to the Human Resilience in the Age of AI Report

Rosa Daneshmandnia and Dino Osmanagić from Young AI Leaders Austria contributed essays to a global expert canvassing on human resilience in the age of AI, led by the Imagining the Digital Future Center at Elon University.

What happened

The resulting report gathered insights from 386 experts worldwide across technology, policy, academia, and civil society. Among the findings: 56% believe AI will guide or influence most human decisions, and 45% worry humans will be only slightly resilient—or not resilient at all.

Deeper concerns included a narrowing human decision space, synthetic information environments that fragment shared truth, and dependence on systems people do not understand. The Linz contribution stressed that people’s worries are often about their place within AI-shaped systems—so resilience cannot mean technical literacy alone. The report calls for a broader “existential literacy.”

If AI reshapes agency and shared reality, youth communities must help people stay capable decision-makers—not only proficient tool users.
