Hosting AI Skills Training at Catalyzing Change Week

As part of Catalyzing Change Week 2025—the world’s largest collaborative event for systems change—Young AI Leaders Austria hosted “AI Skills Training: Empowering Communities for the Future,” with peers from the Viseu hub and international partners.

What happened

Catalyst Now has grown into a network of 5,500+ changemakers across 65+ countries. The webinar explored how AI literacy becomes a foundation for readiness and resilience, referencing the AI Literacy Framework (2025 draft) by the European Commission and OECD: technical knowledge, durable skills, and future-ready attitudes.

Speakers included Maria João Martins (Viseu Hub), Viktor Loreth (Linz hub), Vedant Ahluwalia (Dataviv / Stanford Angels India), and Tijana Zivkovic (WorkWise Academy). Discussion drew on WEF’s finding that 40% of workforce skills will change within five years, and on research showing many Gen Z learners still struggle to spot AI shortfalls such as fabricated facts.

Why it matters

Without intentional frameworks, “AI education” risks becoming superficial. Communities and companies need structured literacy—so AI empowers people rather than creating dependency.
