From 29 April to 3 May 2026, Young AI Leaders Austria took part in Cross-Border Dialogue at Mikulov Castle on “Narratives of confrontation – AI, Misinformation, and the Shaping of Conflict Perceptions.”
What happened
Partners included Cross-Border Dialogue, Knowledge in Crisis, and the European Forum Alpbach. The gathering brought Austrian, Czech, and Slovak perspectives into a shared setting to examine how AI-enabled information environments shape conflict narratives and public perception.
Why it matters
AI risks are not only technical; they are narrative and geopolitical. Cross-border formats help youth and expert communities practise the dialogue needed when misinformation and automated systems interact with real-world tension.
