AI Literacy Kick-Off at Akademisches Gymnasium Linz

Young AI Leaders Austria kicked off its AI Literacy project at Akademisches Gymnasium Linz with a hands-on workshop on prompt engineering—the first school format in the hub’s AI for Good literacy track.

What happened

Within a single session, students moved from passive users of AI tools toward active shapers of how those tools are prompted, questioned, and applied. The workshop focused on curiosity, reflection, and confidence: the habits experts say will define future skills, not just feature know-how.

This kick-off sat alongside the Future Skills Circle on the same day, linking classroom practice with regional debate on what AI competence should mean in Upper Austria.

Why it matters

School-age literacy is where long-term readiness begins. By starting in Linz classrooms, the hub tests what actually creates value before scaling—and shows that AI for Good can be concrete, local, and immediately useful for young people.
