Cooperation Agreement with LIT Open Innovation Center

Young AI Leaders Austria and JKU LIT OIC formalise a partnership to grow an inclusive AI community in Linz.

Young AI Leaders Austria and the LIT Open Innovation Center at Johannes Kepler University Linz signed a cooperation agreement to shape a living, inclusive, impact-oriented AI community in Linz.

What happened

Shared energy was already visible at “War for AI Talent,” where more than 200 students and experts from research, industry, and policy discussed how AI is changing work and society. The formal partnership, led on the OIC side by Elisabeth Ulbrich and Petra Muschitz, aims to network young talent, expand the existing community, and co-create workshops, hackathons, mentoring, real AI projects, and startup support.

Why it matters

JKU’s transfer centre and a youth AI-for-Good hub are a natural match: one offers institutional reach and space; the other mobilises emerging talent and a global AI for Good network. Together they strengthen Linz as a durable AI ecosystem.
